Have Courage – Have Hope

Do not give up and do not give in,
For hope is there to make you win.

Whether through trouble or through pain,
The lesson should never be in vain.

Starting through the night,
It might feel you have lost sight.

But behold just a few moments more,
And light will break through with a roar.

Do not give up and do not give in,
For hope is there to make you win.

THE TWO POTS

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the masters house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was only able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologise to you.” “Why?” asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?” “I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your masters house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don’t get full value for your effort.” The pot said.

Most  of  the  time  Humour  is  ridiculed  -  a  humorous  person  is  taken  for  granted  -  taken  as  a  joker    ,  but  few  realize  that  making  people  laugh  is  perhaps  the  most  difficult  task  in  this  negative  world .

Humour  is  not  about  light  mindedness  but  light  heartedness -  the  ability  to  laugh  on  oneself is  a  Gods  gift .

Try  and  find  humour  in  life  and  see  how  better  you  feel ….Laughing  releases  the  same  chemicals  as  lot  of  anti  depressants  .

Remember  - Laugh  and  the  world  Laughs  with  you  -  Cry  and  you  Cry  alone ….

Try  and  add  a  smile  to  somebody’  life  -  you  will make  it  better .

LIVE  YOUR  LIFE   – YOU  LIVE  ONLY  ONCE .

If we listened to our intellect, we’d never have a love affair. We’d never have a friendship. We’d never go into business, because we’d be cynical. Well, that’s nonsense. You’ve got to jump off cliffs all the time and build your wings on the way down.

This item was filled under [ Stories ]

A  long  read  but  a  brilliant  one ……
Even  god  was  not  spared  from  adversity  and  difficult  circumstances  ,  we  are  mere  mortals  what  we  control is  our  attitude  ,  our  actions  and  our  responses  .  These  responses  are  all  that  create  the  difference  between  the  great and  not  so  great ….

What  do  you  want  to  be said  at  your  Funeral ??

The following words were part of a sermon given by Dr. King at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 4, 1968.

I know a man — and I just want to talk about him a minute, and maybe you will discover who I’m talking about as I go down the way (Yeah) because he was a great one. And he just went about serving. He was born in an obscure village, (Yes, sir) the child of a poor peasant woman. And then he grew up in still another obscure village, where he worked as a carpenter until he was thirty years old. (Amen) Then for three years, he just got on his feet, and he was an itinerant preacher. And he went about doing some things. He didn’t have much. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. (Yes) He never owned a house. He never went to college. He never visited a big city. He never went two hundred miles from where he was born. He did none of the usual things that the world would associate with greatness. He had no credentials but himself.
